Organization of information is as important as any other facet of your website. The challenge most major websites face and fail to remedy well (or not at all) is how to build a site that can continue to grow with all the content, video, images, charts, user feedback, FAQ’s, contact forms, case studies, featured clients….(see, there is a lot to organize)
FindLaw , in what is believed to be in conjunction with SEOmoz has released its “refreshed” directory. Findlaw hit one out of the park with this latest version! And given the size and massive amount of information Findlaw can provide, its surprisingly easy to use. This redesign clearly demonstrates an appreciation of website usability, in addition to internal patience and discipline by the FindLaw staff to not prematurely release the website until it was perfect. A+ to the FindLaw team!
I agree they got the Web 2.0 spirit down pat. The new community features like FindLaw Answers and video are a huge improvement showcasing the live and engaged audience they have. Kudos to the FindLaw team!!
I heard that they included about 5 or so clients (practicing lawyers) in the design process. Not something you would typically find from a major company. Glad to see they realized the importance of client feedback. Thanks for the comment Johnny!
